Which Grain Scale Is Right for You?

I grade grain and need test weight and dockage.

Start with the 9000AG. It reads test weight directly in lb/Bu or kg/Hl and handles weighing, test weight and dockage in one Class III scale. The Adventurer Pro also covers all three jobs if you need more capacity.

I need to weigh larger samples or want the finest readings.

The Ohaus Adventurer Pro AX4202N/EGN has the highest capacity of the three (4200 g) and the finest readability (0.01 g), plus RS-232 included for sending results to a computer.

I need a small scale I can carry to the field.

The Ohaus CX221 weighs 1.1 lb and runs on 3 AA batteries, so it works anywhere. It is for general weighing only: it has no approval class and no test weight or dockage functions.

What does Class III approval mean?

Class III is the accuracy class used for commercial weighing in trade. The 9000AG and Adventurer Pro are Class III. The CX221 is not approved for trade use.
