Important: Keep the original shipping box and custom protective inserts. If your scale ever requires calibration or service, using the original packaging helps protect it during shipping and reduces the risk of damage. How to Set Up the 9000AG Scale Step 1: Remove the Owner's Manual The first item you'll see when opening the box is the Owner's Manual. This manual contains operating instructions, specifications, and maintenance information for your scale. Set it aside for future reference. Step 2: Remove the Weighing Platter Carefully remove the stainless steel weighing platter from the packaging. You'll notice several rubber inserts attached to the underside of the platter. Do not discard these. These rubber pieces are designed to fit onto the feet of the scale during setup. Step 3: Remove the Scale Lift the scale from the custom foam packaging. Inspect the unit for any shipping materials before placing it on a stable, level work surface. Step 4: Install the Rubber Foot Inserts Take the rubber inserts from the underside of the weighing platter and install them onto the threaded feet located on the bottom of the scale. These inserts help stabilize the scale and assist with proper leveling. Step 5: Install the Weighing Platter Place the stainless steel weighing platter onto the top of the scale. It should sit securely in position without requiring any tools. Step 6: Connect the Power Cord Locate the power connection on the rear of the scale. Insert the power cord into the back of the unit, then plug the other end into a standard 110V electrical outlet. Once connected, power on the scale. Step 7: Level the Scale For the most accurate readings, the scale should be properly leveled before use. Underneath the weighing platter is a built-in bubble level. Adjust the four threaded feet until the bubble is centered within the indicator. Proper leveling ensures consistent weighing accuracy. Your Scale Is Ready to Use Once the scale is level and powered on, your 9000AG is ready for operation. Following these simple setup steps helps ensure accurate performance from the start while protecting your investment for years to come.
